Brine Tanks / Deicer Storage Tanks For Road De-icing liquid – Standard brine is a simple mixture of water and NaCl salt and often a salt brine is capable of being applied at temperatures as low as -20°C without freezing. For lower temperatures Calcium Chloride CaCl capable of temperatures as low as -50°C.

Advantages Of Using Salt Brine For Deicing;

  • Using salt brine can save over 50% of your annual salt bill.
  • Brine stays on the road for longer as it does not bounce or blow off remaining effective for longer.
  • Brine can be deployed onto road surfaces at greater vehicle speeds..
  • Brine melts frozen precipitation faster than dry rock salt and can be used to pre-wet salt.
  • Brine is effective immediately unlike dry salt which needs moisture to activate

Brine Tanks / Deicer Storage Tanks

These bunded tanks for Brine Tanks / Deicer Storage Tanks are offered with chemical tank options including liquid level sensor assemblies and fill pipes, fittings and modifications to suit your application.  This includes inlets, outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges, welded sockets and vents.  Plastic Vertical Single Wall Storage Tanks can be used for a brine for de-icer applications however bunded double wall (dual wall tanks, double containment tanks, double-walled tanks) are constructed with a primary inner tank and secondary containment tank. This tank in a tank assembly provides secure containment of brine and are high-density polyethene (HDPE).  Often cone bottom tanks are used as they are the perfect solution for getting every last drop out of the tank and prevent a build-up of sediments in the tank.
