Polypropylene Storage Tanks (PP)

What are Polypropylene Storage Tanks? Polypropylene, also known as PP, is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications such as the manufacture of chemical process tanks. Polypropylene Tanks are ideal where high-temperature liquids need to be stored or processed.

Within the chemical and water treatment sectors, there is an increased demand for the storage of more aggressive chemicals and acid tanks.  As well as PP water tanks being used for temperature from ambient up to 65°C for water (please contact us regarding other chemicals) as it accepted that conventional polyethene tanks are not suitable for these temperatures.

Polypropylene Tanks v’s Stainless Steel Tanks

In the past, expensive steel tanks or costly layered plastic tanks were the only corrosive resistant options. The introduction of polypropylene tanks, known as PP tanks, is a more cost-effective solution. Our plastic chemical tanks manufactured from Polypropylene (PP) tanks are available in both vertical and cone type tanks from 150 litres to 30,000 litres storage capacity.

These self-supporting rotationally moulded one-piece tanks come in a large range of sizes and capacities, with the option to choose between a flat bottom, conical base or double-wall bunded tanks. Our bespoke concept allows us to tailor-make tanks for the particular storage of the product to take into account chemical resistance, temperature requirements and site conditions ensuring you a suitable product and piece of mind. Flanges and provision for dosing pumps for water storage and treatment are available and for liquids up to a specific gravity of 2.

What can our polypropylene tanks be used for?

Enduramaxx polypropylene tanks are used extensively in clean water, wastewater, effluent treatment, food processing, swimming pool, chemical and pharma industries for storage as well as mixing tanks. Polypropylene is the hardest and stiffest polyolefine and corresponds to the recommendations and guideline for the production of consumer goods and contact with food.

Polypropylene is rigid, odourless with high impact strength, UV stabilised and available for many industrial applications and storage of chemicals. Talk to one of our team today on 01778 562810 to find out more.
