Fish Breeding Rearing Tanks And Aquaculture Tanks

Enduramaxx’s aquaculture fish breeding rearing tanks is a bespoke design and customised build service for UK’s aquaculture industry include round and square tanks, open top and closed. The special features of Enduramax’s aquaculture tanks include thermal & biosecurity properties, hygienic and easy to clean, chemical resistance, shockproof and UV stabilised.

These tanks are traditionally used for Koi tanks, Fish Tanks, Fish Ponds and Fish holding/quarantine Tanks, however, these have many other applications including;

  • Koi tanks
  • Fish Tanks
  • Fishponds
  • Spawning & Hatching Tanks
  • Larvae Rearing Tanks
  • Parabolic Tanks
  • Raceway Tanks
  • Broodstock Holding Tanks
  • Algae Production Tanks
  • Artemia Feed Tanks
  • Water Treatment Tanks

We work with number of aquaculture consultants who are also able to provide bespoke pipework and connections to enable a minimum installation time for heating/filtration and connection to other tanks. Fish Rearing Tanks Overview

Enduramaxx circular water tanks for aquaculture include open top vertical tanks is constructed using rotationally moulded, food-grade, UV stabilised polyethene giving a seamless one-piece construction that is self-supporting and robust. From small quarantine tanks and laboratory test tanks to early-stage rearing Enduramaxx have a range of flat base tanks starting at 110 litres up to 25000 litres.  Ideal as stock holding tanks, they are available in a variety of colours with a 5,000 litre option of a low profile tank which is 2600 mm in diameter and 1000  mm in height.

Round Plastic Tanks for Fish Rearing

There has been a significant shift towards round tanks for fish rearing. Properly designed round tanks with a central drain, moderately sloped floor and proper inlet piping take advantage of gravitational and centrifugal forces to keep themselves clean.  Enduramaxx manufactures low profile open top cone tanks mounted on galvanised steel frames with a 5 or 30° cone.   The water moving in a circular flow will carry the solids to the central drain, from where they can be piped away for separation and re-use or disposal. With a properly designed inlet system, the oxygen-rich water will provide just the right current for good muscle tone while distributing new water evenly throughout the tank.

This design improves space utilization inside the tank and allows the production of more pounds of fish per unit of water flow. The water flow direction can also be reversed periodically, helping to even outgrowth of the fish class by rearranging their feeding order. By avoiding the need to clean the tank floor of sediments both fish stress and labour costs are reduced. Once the fish faeces and uneaten feed are in a drain pipeline, it is relatively easy to separate these solids with either an efficient swirl separator.

An oxygenated round tank aquaculture system can grow more pounds of fish with less feed, less water and less stress than a comparable area of raceways or ponds.  The smooth tank surface of the rotationally moulded tanks further helps to eliminate disease vectors and skin abrasions, while providing a long-lasting storage solution.

Conical Aquaculture Tanks

Cone Tanks are available without a frame if required. The 2,500 litre open top cone tank measures 2910 mm in diameter and 1770 mm in height when fitted in a frame (2600 mm x 960 mm high without a frame) and the 8,000 litre open top cone tank measures 2600 mm in diameter and 2551 mm in height when fitted in a frame. Both cone tanks are supplied with a 2” full drain outlet with other outlet sizes available. All our Aquaculture Fish Rearing Tanks are manufactured at our factory within the UK and come with a 10-year guarantee.
