Treated Water Tank

A treated water tank is used as part of the water supply system to provide a reserve of drinking water storage in the event of planned maintenance or supply or treatment problems. These tanks would be sizes to cater for fluctuations in demand and should accommodate the peak demand in case of an interruption to supply. Storage may be from 500 litres to thousands of litres depending on the demand. This tank would require a chlorine test as it would be for potable water storage.

These water tanks are available in capacities from 150 – 30,000 litres, fitted with flanges, BSP sockets, and overflow pipework depending on the water system.  These water tanks are used for the temporary storage of raw water before it is treated when used in a water treatment system or for drinking water treatment. These water storage tanks are generally fitted with the following features, mains water top-up feed ( which will often require an AB air gap to meet CAT5 requirements), top lid for access to instrumentation, and inlet pipes, high-level overflow and low-level drain.

Colour Options

Tanks in colour options other than black, such as blue, natural, and dark green, are considered as bespoke items and are non-refundable.  Similarly, non-standard outlets are also non-refundable.
